Terms of Service

1. Who we are

DeckStack (ABN 28 847 201 188) ("DeckStack", "we", "us") provides this website and the DeckStack application. You can contact us at hello@deckstack.ai.

2. These terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply when you use the DeckStack website and application (the "Service"). By creating an account or buying a DeckStack Pass, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms. Where a change is material, we will tell you before it takes effect. The version published here applies to your use of the Service.

3. Your account

You need an account to use the Service. Keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly if you believe someone else has used your account.

You must be able to enter a binding contract to use the Service, and you are responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the documents and information you upload. You give us permission to process them only to provide the Service to you: to analyse your documents, build your DeckStack Resume and generate application packages at your request.

You confirm that the documents you upload are about your own career and that you are entitled to share them with us.

5. DeckStack Passes

• A DeckStack Pass gives access to DeckStack Check, DeckStack Resume and DeckStack Apply for the period shown at purchase.
• The period starts when you buy the pass and runs for the number of days in the pass. An extension adds its days to the end of your current pass or, if your pass has already ended, runs for its days from when you buy it. Top-up generations can be used until your pass ends.
• Passes are one-off purchases. They do not renew, and we will not charge you again unless you buy another pass, an extension or a top-up.
• A pass is personal: it is for your own job search and documents about your own career only.

6. Included usage

Each pass includes:

• up to 2 DeckStack Check reports per day;
• one full DeckStack Resume build, plus updates when you add documents;
• the number of AI generations shown at purchase (30 for 30 days, 75 for 90 days, counted over the whole pass).
• An AI generation is one new tailored application package (a CV and cover letter for one role), or one AI regeneration of an existing one. Edits you make in the editor are free and unlimited.
• Unused generations do not carry over to a later pass.

7. Reaching a limit

• We notify you at 80% of your AI generations.
• At a limit, you may buy a top-up or an extension at the prices shown in the app at the time.
• We will not stop an application package that is already in progress.

8. Misuse

• We may suspend or limit a pass if we reasonably believe it is used in breach of the personal-use clause: by more than one person, for documents about other people, or through automated or scripted access.
• Before suspending, we will contact you, explain why and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond, unless the misuse is causing immediate harm.

9. Payments

Our order process is conducted by Stripe Managed Payments. Stripe, acting through Link, is the Merchant of Record for our orders: it collects and remits applicable sales tax, VAT and GST, issues receipts and invoices, and handles payment-related support, refunds and disputes. Your purchase appears as “Sold through Link”, and your statement will show “LINK.COM* DECKSTACK”.

Prices are shown before purchase. Where tax is shown as added at checkout, the final amount you pay includes that tax.

10. Refunds

Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and explains when a purchase can be refunded.

11. What we do and do not promise

DeckStack analyses the documents you give us and helps you produce application materials grounded in them. We do not promise any particular outcome, including interviews or offers.

The Service relies on automated analysis and AI generation, which can be wrong or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing anything you send to an employer.

12. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim connected with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Ending your use of the Service

When your pass ends, your archive, DeckStack Resume, application packages and Check reports stay in your account until you delete them. You can still view and download them. New AI generations and Checks need an active pass. Coming back later costs nothing to rebuild. You can delete your archive at any time in Settings.

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, following the process in the Misuse clause where it applies.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence where the law gives you that right.
